After two decades of shift work and embracing the beautiful chaos of raising three children, I made the decision to pursue a career change that would benefit both my family and the environment. This led me to explore the field of Energy Assessments, where I could contribute to sustainable practices and dictate my own shifts around family life!

Being an accredited National Home Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) assessor is the perfect way to combine my passion for helping people and my background in geography and building services. I have a BA Double Major in Geography/Sociology, Diploma in Technical Services (Surveying and Mapping), and a Cert IV in Home Efficiency and Sustainability, I am an accredited member with Design Matters National and qualified to use both FirstRate5 and HERO thermal modelling software.

What I find particularly rewarding about my role is the opportunity to apply my knowledge to help people navigate the energy efficiency provisions in the National Construction Code (NCC). As technology and building standards continue to evolve, I make it a priority to stay informed about the latest advancements and enjoy breaking down complex concepts to show how small adjustments can lead to big energy savings, both for homeowners and the environment.
